‘Swaggering Synth-Rock’ duo iDKHOW release ‘MX. Sinister’

Today, I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW) release ‘Mx. Sinister’, the first of four tracks from their upcoming Razzmatazz B-Sides EP, a Record Store Day exclusive vinyl that arrives June 12th via Fearless Records.

‘Mx. Sinister’ is a highly anticipated fan favourite that iDKHOW has only played live up until now. With distorted bass tones, dreamy synth lines and big choruses, the track showcases the band’s diverse musical soundscape and ability to explore songwriting with a dynamic approach. The EP features rare and never before heard tracks from the Razzmatazz sessions.

‘Mx. Sinister’ follows the release of ‘New Invention (Clubhouse Session)’ – a live version of the band’s latest single and follow up from the #1 Alternative radio hit ‘Leave Me Alone’.

Both ‘New Invention’ and ‘Leave Me Alone’ come off of their latest LP Razzmatazz, which debuted #1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist chart.

The album is a bewitchingly glitzy collection with a vibrant soundscape that perfectly encapsulates the essence of the band: it marries their love of pop rock and new wave.

On the track, frontman Dallon Weekes says, “‘Mx. Sinister’ is a fictional story about misguided infatuation. The kind that can lead some to very dark places. There are countless books and films about this subject, but even when fictional, they still touch upon very real circumstances that real people actually experience.

So for that reason, I thought it was important to leave binary pronouns out of the song’s narrative and title. Really, It’s just a song about one individual’s very unhealthy obsession with another. They could be anybody.”

‘Mx. Sinister’ and the Razzmatazz B-Sides EP follows the group’s breakout LP Razzmatazz – since the release, iDKHOW has garnered over 300 million streams worldwide to date.

Following each performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ellen and CBS This Morning: Saturday, the band’s loyal fans catapulted them to the top of the US Twitter trends and their performance on the Kimmel recently earned two Telly Awards for Directing and Music Video Production.
