Ziggy Alberts has today announced his first ever children’s book: NO FIN STEVE, set for release on November 10th.
It caps a busy few months for Ziggy Alberts. Following a series of release parties with fans across the globe, Ziggy Alberts released his highly anticipated album ‘TWIN FLAMES’ on October 16th – which has already pushed past 4 million streams.
Written by Ziggy with illustrations from Claire Tompkins, No Fin Steve is set on Norfolk Island and tells the story of a grandfather and grandson, their days together on the island, and their shared connection to the sea. At its heart is a simple but important lesson: learning how to swim and building the confidence to experience life’s wonders.
Drawn from a family very dear to Ziggy, the book has been years in the making. It brings their story to the page as a celebration of family, trust, independence and the lessons passed between generations.
“Norfolk Island is one of my favourite little islands in the world. This is a story about some very dear friends of mine and their relationship with the ocean. It’s been years in the making, and it’s really special to finally bring it to life. At its heart, it’s a story about learning to swim with just your bare hands and feet – skills and self-belief combined ! Building the confidence to experience the ocean is something that’s given me so many amazing memories throughout my life. It also shows how important our elders are in teaching us life skills “ ZIGGY ALBERTS

No Fin Steve marks Ziggy’s third published book release, following his two self-published poetry books ‘brainwaves’ (2021) and ‘sun memos’ (2024). To date, his first two offerings have sold over 10,000 copies worldwide.
His latest album TWIN FLAMES has seen strong support in its opening weeks – earning itself the #6 spot on the ARIA Australian Albums chart. Featuring singles ‘Valerie’, ‘I Blame Myself’, ‘I Need My Woman’ and ‘Cyclones’ – the record sees Ziggy dive into themes of duality, showcasing the light and dark moments and how they interplay throughout life. Sonically, the album fuses the folk and surf-influences that Ziggy fans may be familiar with, with a textured flourish of Americana that feels incredibly at home with Ziggy’s signature sound.
To celebrate the release of No Fin Steve and TWIN FLAMES, Ziggy returns to the island for a special pop up show at Salty Beer Garden on Saturday 14 November. The show is family-friendly and free for the Norfolk Island community.
