Canadian folk band The East Pointers have just released a brand new single to welcome fans into 2025; an upbeat folk-pop track titled ‘Anniversary’.
After announcing the pending arrival of the new single back on December 4th, marking what would have been the 40th birthday of dearly departed band member Koady Chaisson, The East Pointers (made up of Tim Chaisson and Jake Charron) remember Koady now with a sincere and loving song written in his honour. Commenting on the beginnings of the song recently, band-member Tim expressed;
“‘Anniversary’ is a song about how making one positive decision can change the rest of your life. 11 years ago today (on his birthday) our late band member Koady made some major changes to his life to improve his mental health, one of which was becoming sober. This is a song to celebrate fresh starts, milestones, and the wins that we have along the way, big or small.” JAKE CHARRON
The East Pointers are set to head to Australia in the early months of 2025 for a collection of festival and headline dates, playing shows through February and March.
