We use them for tracking and retargeting to get as many streams, ticket sales, video views and eyes as possible but as the interweb’s privacy concerns and regulatory changes continue (such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)), it’s important to note that major web browsers, like Google Chrome, are phasing out third-party cookies, which are having significant implications for tracking and targeting users.
This just means we need to be super smart (… a smart cookie, if you will) with our Meta targeting!

TikTok and Billboard deliver their first ever US-based chart!
Fresh from the TikTok Newsroom is the announcement of the partnership between Billboard and TikTok to produce the first U.S. based chart to monitor music discovery and engagement on TikTok.
TikTok sates “It is the verified list of the hottest songs on TikTok each week, giving the most accurate record of the current music trends happening in the U.S. market.
The chart is based on a combination of creations, video views, and user engagement by the U.S. TikTok community, and will be released weekly on Thursdays.”
