DICE continue their path to greatness with new single ‘Eyes Ahead’

With over 668k monthly listeners and growing, a 999%+ increase in listeners, streams and saves compared to the previous year, Perth’s DICE have proven themselves an unstoppable force whose only way forward is up.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2021 with a loveable concoction of soaring guitars, buttery vocals and open-air anthem-style choruses, they continually refine their sound and now offer their latest serving in new single ‘Eyes Ahead’.

“Vocalist, Ben Hodge takes us on a journey uncovering how important it is to embrace your own interests despite what others might say. This fast paced, roaring track blends perfectly between a reggae blend of drum and bass into a crowd belting pre-chorus and powerhouse chorus. As the new year begins, ‘Eyes Ahead’ is a confirmation on our ambition to become a household name.”Tom King, DICE

Welcoming the new year in style they bid farewell to the previous one that saw them reach dizzying new heights as a band as they sprinted at breakneck speed through multiple career defining milestones. Raking in many millions of streams, they scored global playlists expanding their reach to a massive new audience in the US with streaming consumption quickly catching up to Australia.

Not just hometown heroes, but attracting industry eyes and critical acclaim, they’ve been called “a band that might be your new fav… They’re going to blow up” by triple j’s very own Bridget Hustwait.

With each release in 2022 (multiple singles and a debut EP), they regularly sweeped editorial playlisting across multiple platforms and continue to be consistently playlisted even today. On Spotify, months past their releases, they have multiple tracks re-playlisted in Aussie favourites such as ‘Front Left’, ‘Indie Mixtape’, ‘Rock Out’, ‘The Local List’ and ‘Local Noise’ – the latter of which they scored the cover.

DICE have proven both consistency and quality – they release music to the highest calibre, with a strong history of trusted collaboration with Sam Ford of Tone City Records (DICE, Nectar, Siobhan Cotchin, Supathick). Like previous releases, the single was mixed and mastered by Sam Ford at Tone City Studios.

“Our latest track, ‘Eyes Ahead’ was extremely exciting to work on as we introduced our producer and label to our new drummer, Lenny. Over the 3 days of recording, there was a freedom to modify and try new parts including the stringy synth that evolves the pre chorus into something completely else. As DICE has progressed, the writing and maturity of our sound has been taken to the next level while keeping the classic DICE guitar driven sound.”DICE

Spurred by the widespread success of their ever-loveable sound,  they toured the country as both a headline tour and in support of Great Gable which saw them met with an incredible reception, selling out the majority of their tour. Known for delivering a killer live set, their utterly loveable and faultless Aussie indie-rock continues to carve out a dedicated fan base across the nation.

In support of ‘Eyes Ahead’, DICE are taking to the road and playing a 6-stop headline West Coast tour with Dear Sunday and local supports.
