beehive tips: Preparing for your first BIGSOUND

We are quickly approaching BIGSOUND 2022 – the Australian music industry’s largest interactive in-person music conference and showcase festival.

Returning to Fortitude Valley this September 6-9, BIGSOUND is going to be operating at full force to welcome the national and international music community back to Brisbane…beehive can’t wait to get there for another year!

It’s might be your first time back in The Valley for BIGSOUND this year or like many of us, it is going to be your first in ages. With this in mind, the beehive team has pulled together some tips to get you through.

Self (foot) Care

“Wear comfortable shoes! The step count is going to be through the roof so no new blister inducing numbers!”
– Sammie Walsh, Queen Bee

Keep Your Diary In Check

“Book all your meetings in as soon as the delegate portal opens! It’s like the old sign-on day at uni – you’ve gotta be quick!”
– Dan Seymour, The Great Gats-bee

Stay Hydrated!

“Buy a good quality thermo drink bottle to keep your water cold throughout the day. You’ll need it in Brissie! If you’re avoiding pub meals or fast food, Nourish Bowls from Coles or Woolies are great to keep in your backpack, too!”
– Liz Browne, Head of Buzz

Embrace the Unknown

“Encourage a mate to go with you to check out a band you’ve never heard of before! Chances are, they’ll probably blow your socks off and could be the next BIGSOUND breakthrough act.”
– Jade Gould, Lady Bee

Pace Yourself!

“Don’t go too hard too early; BIGSOUND is a marathon, not a sprint. Enjoy the music but don’t push yourself to get to absolutely everything at once!”
– Sose Fuamoli, Honeymaker
