As The Terrifying Lows, Melbourne based songwriter and musician Tyler Millot has embraced and explored the darker fringes of indie-rock with a dedicated love for rhythms and melody.
Since releasing his debut single ‘Cool With It’ back in 2018, The Terrifying Lows has been consistently working on creating a formidable body of work, the latest entry coming to life with new single ‘Everywhere You Go (There You Are)’.
As with his previous releases – including the hypnotic ‘Comet’ – The Terrifying Lows plunges into some rich alternative rock sounds here. Irresistible bass meets strong guitars as Millot’s voice wraps itself around both enticingly.
One for fans of Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age, ‘Everywhere You Go (There You Are)’ is equal parts sexy and melancholic.
‘Everywhere You Go (There You Are)’ had Millot working out of Melbourne’s Aviary Studios with producer Josh Barber (Gretta Ray) and engineer Stephen Mowatt (Ali Barter), before it made its way to Nashville where Kyle Dreaden (Bre Kennedy) mixed the final cut. Mastered by Joe Carra (POND) at Crystal Mastering, the song was in the hands of a veritable dream team.
And as The Terrifying Lows continues to establish himself as a formidable and alluring player on Melbourne’s rock circuit, ‘Everywhere You Go (There You Are)’ is a fitting release to kick off a brand new chapter for the artist.
With years of experience behind him as a session/touring musician for artists including Ali Barter, Husky and Ben Wright Smith, Millot’s solo work as The Terrifying Lows is setting him apart.
