CHILLCHENEY continues to explore new facets of his storytelling and songwriting skills, today releasing a brand new single in ‘COOL BREEZE’. A prime collaboration with talented vocalist SAHAJA, the latest drop from the Sydney-based hip hop artist marks another step forward into a bright and exciting chapter.
Following on from the release of previous single ‘Underground’, ‘Cool Breeze’ is contemplative and honest – an open style of lyricism that has quickly become ChillCheney’s trademark. Written with Sahaja during a songwriting camp, ‘Cool Breeze’ is one of a batch of songs developed between the pair.
Like his previous release, ‘Cool Breeze’ was then recorded at Kameygal Music Studio; the song was mixed by ChillCheney himself, with mastering delivered by Mitaru McGaughey.
As ChillCheney describes, ‘Cool Breeze’ captures the feeling of “letting go of negativity and appreciating how far you have come.”
‘Cool Breeze’ is a reflective and uplifting track about growth, memories, and moving forward. The song captures the feeling of letting go of negativity and appreciating how far you’ve come. Musically, it blends organic live instrumentation with hip hop influences, creating a nostalgic and atmospheric sound that mirrors the peaceful surroundings where it was written.” CHILLCHENEY
