Ennaria returns with forceful third single ‘Insecure’ feat 6arleyhuman

ENNARIA, the self-described “degenerate Harajuku girl, overgrown juvenile delinquent with a rockstar pipedream” is back with new music – music that comes delivered with ferocity.

Titled ‘INSECURE’, Ennaria’s new single is a clash of sound, colour and energy; a perfect follow on from ‘Show Off’ earlier in 2024 and her breakthrough track ‘Monstarr’ – the latter of which has accrued over 5.5 million streams since its release in 2023.

‘Insecure’ is a track that is perfect for fans of artists such as 100 gecs, Bring Me The Horizon and Hanabie; a fusion of electronics, metal and pop sensibilities that have formed a strong bed of influences for Ennaria to build upon this year. Recording between Tokyo and Sydney, ‘Insecure’ was written in collaboration with fellow producers Tonser and Sean Bowe and contains a standout feature from 6arlyhuman.

Of the song, Ennaria explains ‘Insecure’ as being an;

ironic commitment to the idea of ‘faking it ‘til you make it’. I took this to the extreme, embodying an overly honest, bitchy caricature as I push my own insecurities aside for the sake of self-image and those around me; talking down to those who aren’t doing the same. Realistically, this is toxic and hypocritical, but it’s very fun to play the villain sometimes and write about things that shouldn’t be said out loud. My writing was super inspired by the sleazy early 2010s indie sleaze/electro punk scene, alongside the grittiness of 2010s synthpop. Very Kesha, very 3OH3!, very Breathe Carolina. I tried to bring in a breath of fresh air with a creative vocal chopped electronic drop and with influences of the currently re emerging indie sleaze genre and recently emerging “scenecore” genre, which is also an underground subversion of 2010s popular music..” ENNARIA

The release of ‘Monstarr’ served as a powerful introduction for Ennaria, who emerged out of nowhere with a brash and enticing sound that quickly caught the attention of her growing online audience. The video alone  (her only on YouTube) has 1 million views and over 30K subscribers. Off the back of her debut single Ennaria’s profile has grown exponentially, without any shows to her name.

Praise from triple j and Triple J Unearthed has solidified Ennaria’s presence within Australian industry, but it is certainly with her passionate following that Ennaria has developed a strong community and momentum for her music. With almost 850,000 streams for her second single ‘Show Off’ adding to the over 5 million stacked up already for ‘Monstarr’, Ennaria is proving to be unstoppable. ‘Insecure’ is the latest step in her evolution.
