Alta Falls share new single ‘Everything Is Falling Apart’

Taking another bright stride forward with their music is Brisbane/Meanjin indie electro-pop trio, Alta Falls. Releasing their new track titled ‘Everything Is Falling Apart’, the group has seen Alta Falls redefine their sound and vision, providing the listener with an exciting insight into what still lies ahead for the band when it comes to new work and projects on the horizon.

The single, produced by Aidan Hogg (G Flip, Jaguar Jonze) and mixed by Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Amy Shark), captures the essence of Alta Falls’ musicality, while also highlighting the group’s songwriting strength.

‘Everything Is Falling Apart’ can be interpreted as a classic heartache track, but delivered through this emotionally switched-on lens, Alta Falls adds extra nuance and impact to the final result;

“‘Everything Is Falling Apart’ is about the heartache of losing someone who’s been a constant presence in your life. Even when they’re no longer physically here, their essence lingers in the spaces they once filled, like a shadow woven into the everyday.”  NATHANAEL HUBBARD

“The song came together like most of ours do. I come up with the initial chords and structure on the piano, and Nathanael comes up with some early melody and lyric ideas. We then take this to the studio where we workshop beats and bass lines, and start to layer the keys and synth parts."  MATTHEW GREEN

2023 was a busy and successful year for Alta Falls, who have been concentrating on growing an already impressive following; building on the momentum struck with the release of their 2023 EP, Wild Dreams. Previous support from triple j for their tracks ‘Trust Me’ and ‘Tried To Forget About’ positioned the band on more radars, and through their collaboration with US artist Michael Mayo on ‘I Can See Your Face Through The Rain’, Alta Falls have been showing continued signs of evolution.

Currently completing a run of headline shows across the country, for which the band sold out their most recent show, at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory, Alta Falls still have a couple of live shows remaining on their tour. With performances coming up soon in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, you won’t want to miss the Brissie electro-pop masters in all their glory.
