Having enjoyed a fruitful year of releases that has repositioned him as one of Adelaide’s most dynamic indie voices, TUSHAR is back for 2024 with a new chapter ready to be opened up and explored. Kicking this phase of new music off is his new single, ‘Peaches And Wine’, a beautiful follow on from 2023’s ‘Bloodshot Eyes’ single, as well as the Arthur and Sadie EP.
Continuing to draw sonic influences from artists like Gus Dapperton and Dayglow, TUSHAR’s latest track is a step up and forward for the talented songwriter and musician, who has been honing his sound as a solo artist in recent years – the results so far manifesting themselves in a sharp and engaging way.
For ‘Peaches And Wine’, TUSHAR worked with engineer Benny Tamblyn (MANE) and noted producer/mixing engineer Mario Späte (Elsy Wameyo). With Späte on mastering and Tamblyn on mixing (as well as his studio becoming home for TUSHAR during this creative period), ‘Peaches And Wine’ was in great hands from the ground up.

“‘Peaches and Wine’ is loosely based on a fictional character. A charming lover who turns out to be a murderous criminal with a venomous smile. I’m excited to announce that ‘Peaches and Wine’ will be part of my sophomore EP coming out this year, consisting of six tracks, including ‘Bloodshot Eyes’.”
TUSHAR’s trajectory as a solo artist has been impressive. Though he has been involved in the music community as an artist since 2016, playing with a number of bands in the Adelaide scene, his step out into solo territory has really seen TUSHAR’s creative pen flourish.
Debuting as a solo performer in 2021, he was quick to turn industry heads and create a following all his own, combining dreamy sonic world-building with unforgettable vocals and stage presence. Already, he has been selected and showcased at SXSW in Austin, Texas; as well performing at Dallas’ New New Fest before returning home to perform lucrative sets at Scouted Adelaide, SXSW Sydney, NYE On The Hill and more.
With more music on the way for 2024, ‘Peaches And Wine’ is a tasty reminder of TUSHAR’s talent and the vision that has only become redefined as new influences and inspirations have made their way into his songwriting.
